This film, in which the lion was twice shot with a tranquiliser dart for “sport”, was obtained for Lord Ashcroft KCMG PC by an undercover investigative team that he used to obtain evidence of the full horrors of “lion farming”. This vile practice involves thousands of Africa’s most iconic animals being killed either for the bone trade or as hunting trophies.
